It is a parliament style debate competition between two teams, viz. Government Team & Opposition Team. The topics for this event will be based on Political, Environmental, Economic and Social issues. Each team will consist of 4 or 5 members on each side which can comprise of students across all branches and semesters. Students will form teams at their own discretion and there MUST be a TEAM LEADER in each team. A professional debate will be held where one team will speak FOR the topic and the other team will speak AGAINST the topic.

The participants will be judged on the basis of:

• Organisation and Clarity
• Use of Arguments
• Use of Examples and Facts
• Use of Rebuttal
• Presentation Style

Details
There will be two rounds:
Preliminary Round (On 18th Feb 2020)
Final Round (On 19th Feb 2020)

Preliminary Round

The topics for Preliminary Round will be distributed on a random basis on 16th Feb 2020. The participants will NOT be told whether to speak FOR or AGAINST the topic. The teams will have to gather information, facts and figures from BOTH point of views, ie, FOR as well as AGAINST. On 18th Feb 2020, one hour before the commencement of the event, each team will be told whether they will have to speak FOR the topic or AGAINST the topic. The debate sequence will be as follows:

• Prime Minister’s Speech 2min
• Leader of Opposition’s Speech 2min
• Debate 4min
• Government Rebuttal 1min

The qualifying teams will move to the Final Round

Final Round

The topics for Final Round will be distributed on a random basis to the qualifying teams on 19th Feb 2020 after the completion of the Preliminary Round.  The debate sequence will be as follows:

• Prime Minister’s Speech 3min
• Leader of Opposition’s Speech 3min
• Debate 5min
• Government Rebuttal 1min

After the completion of this, 3 teams will be awarded 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes based on judgement.

RULES

• Courtesy must be shown to all other participating members at all times. There should be no use of foul language, personal enmity or physical contact against each other. There should decency in the behaviour of each and every participating member and must ensure that professionalism is maintained at all times.
• The debate will be taken charge by a Speaker who will moderate the debate.
• Each team must comprise of 4-5 members and must have a leader: Prime Minister for the Government team and Leader of Opposition for the Opposition team.
• All remarks must be addressed to the Speaker of the House and not to anyone else. The Members must address Mr. Speaker in his/her first sentence.
• The Government team (the side in favour) shall sit on the right hand side of the Speaker. The Opposition (the side against) shall sit on the left.
• The speaking order will be as follows: the Prime Minister, followed by the first Opposition Member then the discussion. Finally the Prime Minister will deliver the Government rebuttal.
• During the rebuttal, Members (debaters) may not bring up any new arguments or new evidence except in direct rejection of material which has already been presented.
• Members will speak only when called upon by the Speaker. There is to be no heckling. There will be no Points of Order or Points of Personal Privilege raised.
• Points of Information are raised while another Member has the floor (i.e. is speaking).
• If the speaker refuses the point, the Member raising the Point of Information (POI) must sit down. Otherwise, they should deliver their point as succinctly as possible (in less than 15 seconds). Often, the point is phrased as a question. All speakers should attempt to both deliver at least one POI and to accept one POI during the course of the debate.
• The first and last minute of each constructive speech is considered protected time during which no POIs can be made. In addition, no POIs may be made during the Prime Minister’s final rebuttal or during the last three minutes of the Leader of the Opposition’s speech (also considered rebuttal time).

Quiz is among the foremost events that will challenge your intellect, where you need to exercise your grey cells on a wide variety of topics ranging from general knowledge (science, technology and politics) to aptitude. Hence the quiz promises an edge of one's seats experience, for those with quick thinking and reasoning apart from extensive encyclopedic memory. The teams will have to keep in mind the time limit while fulfilling the minimum criteria at each stage to pass to the next round.

Rules & Regulations

• Only team entries are eligible.
• There will be 3 rounds.
• A team consist of two persons.
• Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration.
• The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments.
• The questions shall be in the form of multiple choice, True / False statement, Specific-answer question etc.
• The question will be from various fields i.e. general aptitude, general knowledge(science & technology,current issues relating to politics, economy and sports).
• Audience shall not give any hints or clues to the competitors.
• The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.

ELIMINATION ROUNDS(1st & 2nd round)

Each team would be given a set of online quiz containing multiple choice questions.
Time limit - 30-45 minutes.
Only 6 Teams would be selected for STAGE ROUNDS.
In case of tie between 2 or more teams, further 5 questions would be asked for final selection.

FINAL ROUND

Round 1 : Fill Your Pocket

A question will be asked to a team and if they are unable to answer it will be passed to the next team.
10 marks for correct answer and 5 negative marks for wrong answer.
If a team cannot answer the question, they can pass the question & then the question would be forwarded to the next team.
Answering time is only 30 seconds.
Team discussion is allowed.

Round 2 : Rapid Fire

Each team will be asked 10 questions one after another in one minutes time
10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong answer
Answering time is only 3 seconds
Team discussion is allowed
If a team cannot answer the question, they can say pass for the next question. (The question will not be forwarded to the next team.)

Round 3 : Buzzer Round

A question will be fired & the team who presses the buzzer first get to answer first.
10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong or if team doesn’t after they press Buzzers. – No forwarding
Answering time is only 30 seconds

Round 4 : Audio-visual

Teams will be shown clips and will have to answer.
10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong answer
Each Team would be asked 2 audio-visual questions. ( 1 slide in each round )
Answering time is only 30 seconds.
No passing to the next team. Audience can answer.

Round 5 : You can Bet

Next question can be chosen among 5 different areas.
Teams can bet points of the next question.
if team gives correct answer double points will be allotted, else it will dedcuted.

Construct Your Machine to have the maximum speed to beat other machines on the given track to reach the final destination in minimum time. You have to build a manually controlled robot capable of traversing over different terrain and hurdles. There will be separate points for overcoming the obstacles as well as the other parameter being within time. Thus, the bot with the most cumulative points will win. The aim of the event is to check the robustness of the vehicle and its competence with the opponent on the same track.

Task

Design and construct a remote controlled (wired/wireless) robot capable not only running fast but also is capable of fighting hurdles on the track in the least time.

Bot Specifications

• Only wheels are allowed for locomotion, conveyer belts may be used.
• The weight of the bot should not be more than 5kgs (excluding power source).
• The bot should fit in a box dimensions 30*25*15 cm.
• At all times, bot’s behaviour should be non-offensive, non-destructive and non-harmful to humans and track.
• Bots are not allowed to fly or jump.
• Internal combustion engine cannot be used.
• Also, bot must not emit smoke or fire, leak, stain or soil, spray, throw or use projectiles.
• Use of IC engines or compression is not allowed. All vehicles must depend only on electric motors for their propulsion and control.
• The person who have made the robot should be able to explain the circuit and the program uploaded (if any).
• Track Specifications
• The track will be 30-35 cm wide.
• The track will be having many zones.
• Predefined Obstacles for Round 1
• Sandy surface.
• Rocky surface.
• Elevated surface with maximum slope of 30 degrees.
• Bumps randomly placed.
• Greasy surface.

Obstacles in Round 2

• Obstacles of round 1 in addition to some miscellaneous ones. Rules & Regulations
• No human intervention is allowed in between the race.
• The track will contain certain number of check-points and if the bot goes out of the track then it has to start with the previous check-point.
• There will be certain number of hurdles and obstacles. Each obstacle and hurdle will be assigned some specific points and have to be completed in a stipulated time limit.
• Point description will be disclosed on the spot before commencement of event.
• This will be a two round of competition and entry to the final round will be solely based on total cumulative points of previous round.
• One should not use the wires for lifting up or moving the bot.
• Points earned will be calculated within the time limit and free time of 3 min will be provided Only once if any technical problem occurs.
• In case of any discrepancies organizer’s decision will be final and binding.
• The organizers reserve the right to change any or all of the rules as they desire. Change in the rules as if any will be informed through e-mail or via Facebook page.
• Any team found flouting any rules would be automatically disqualified.

Team Specification for Both Robo Race

• Any team can participate in Robo Race. A team may consist of maximum 4 members. These participants can be from same or different institutes.
• Team Representative: Each team must specify their Team Representative (Leader)at the time of registration
• All-important communications between organizers and the registered teams will be done through Team Representative.
• Each student must have a valid Id-Card of their college.
• Teams start their vehicles at starting line, on a signal given by the event coordinators. The timing will begin as soon as the signal is given.
• Your vehicle should always remain inside the track. If your vehicle leaves the track, at any point of time, it gets penalized.

The coordinators hold the direction to restart a race/war, in case of a valid reason to do so.

This is the first time in Opju technorollix in which we are introducing an all new event "Techno star". This event provides you an opportunity to showcase your hidden talent . Singing, dancing aren't the only talent. What you got come to us, and let the crowd see you.(story-telling, shayri, singing, dancing, magic tricks, no-lip syncing, mimicry)

About the event -

There are three levels for the participants: -

1st ROUND: -🎙🎶🎻🧾

(I)Audition : The participants will have to showcase their talent for which they will be enrolling.

(II)Then there will be a small elimination round in which participants will be selected based on the uniqueness of their talent.

TIME LIMIT FOR 1st ROUND WILL BE: 3 minutes

2ND ROUND: – FACE-OFF ROUND

The participant will have to compete with other participants who will possess similar talent and the winner will be selected for the next round.

3RD ROUND: – FINALE

The final round will be held afterwards in which the selected participants will perform in front of entire audience & the winner and runner up will be selected by Judges and by voting system

There are two level of competition :-

1st level - Selection round

The participants will have the topic of there choice and have to plan and record there performance. Submission of the recordings will be on that day and all the recordings will be played during the Day session of the fest

2nd level - Final round

Selected participants from the first round will be given a specific topic and have to perform on the topic live in front of the audience and the judges
Interesting fact is no one can see you they can only hear your voice

RULES AND REGULATIONS -

The participants have to give a unique name to there radio station.

Participants have to bring their own laptops .

If our team founds any type of vulgar or double meaning content the team would be directly disqualified.

• 25 to 30 min in first round. (Recording)

There is language flexibility (i.e.Hindi or English) for the participants.

This competition is divided into two rounds. In the 1st round Participant have to send us their tik-tok video and the video which satisfies our following criteria will be selected for 2nd round.

• Do not use too much of effects.
• Video should not contain vulgarity.
• Time should be between 15 second to 60 second.

Treasure hunt is a event will be full of fun, entertainment and said to be full of treasure. These is open for everyone, puzzle hunts are great exercise for both mind and body. We will supply the map and clues to you - bring your wits, a good pair of shoes, and a sense of adventure.

Each team will be given clues which can be a puzzle ,a particular location of the campus or some very simple and relevant tasks that  you have to complete to get the clue .Using those clues you have to move further in the Hunt by searching for more clues by using the previous ones. The college venue layout will be explained to all participants prior to the event. So you can manage to solve all those clues and become the winner. Winner will be the team which would be able to collect all the clues and reach their final destination

1. The number of participants allowed in a team is 5.
2. One student can be a part of only one team.

Last date to submit the abstract of the paper is 17/02/2019.

The maximum word limit for the abstract is 350 words.

Write all the necessary details of the authors (students) in the research paper.

Maximum number of authors (students) per paper is three.

Presentation should be in the form of ppt only.

The abstracts will undergo screening and only the selected abstracts will be given a chance for presentation.

The participants will be informed through mail regarding the abstract selection. In case of selection the participants will be sent a confirmation mail.

Participants are requested to mention the names of all the team members along with their contact numbers in the abstract.

Participants should also submit a hardcopy of the report to the respective coordinators after the presentation is over.

At the time of registration the selected teams will be provided a registration number which will be used for future reference.

The decision of the judges shall be treated as final.

Unleash your wild creativity at JUNKYARD 2019 while enjoying the fun in creating amazing stuff out of scraps. For one-n-all the activity is ideal mesh of education and entertainment.

About the Team : 1 Team must consist of 5 members (i.e. 1 team leader and 4 members)

Event Round Details:

Round 1. SMASH (Elimination Round):
It will consist of a pen &paper test. Questions will consist of simple general aptitude, current affairs& general awareness on cleanliness. It will consist of about 20 Multiple choice questions.

• Time allotted for the round will be 10 minutes.
• Only one submission will be allowed per team.
• No modifications can be made once the answers are submitted.
• Top 20 teams will be selected for round 2.

Round 2. EUREKA MOMENT (Qualification Round):

In this, each team will be provided same junk .They will have to make innovative model based on their creativity.

• Time allotted will be 60 minutes.
• Each team must formulate their own ideas and designs.
• Plagiarism in any form shall lead to disqualification.
• Top 5 teams will be selected for final round.

Evaluation Criteria:

Models made in this round will be evaluated based on following criterion:-

• Ingenuity and creativity.
• Feasibility of the design.
• Participants shall have technical knowledge about the model.
• Application to Society.
• Aesthetics
• Presentation Skill.

Round 3: SALVATION (Final Round):

• The teams selected for the final round are required to fabricated a working model as per the given problem statement and materials. There will be a competition between these teams by which winners will be decided.

EVENT RULES AND REGULATIONS:

• Participation should be in team, each team consisting of exactly 5 members.
• To participate in this event, teams must register for the event on Google form circulated for this event. No onsite team formation will take place.
• Construction equipment and materials will be given on site
• Problem statement or theme will be given on site.
• For elimination, teams have to appear for test as single entity.
• No change is team members will be allowed during event.
• The teams have to complete the prescribed task in the given time, using only the materials provided.
• Junkyard reserves the right to eliminate the participants in case of any misconduct.
• In case of any discrepancies, decision of the judges shall be considered final and binding for all.
• The rules indicated in the Event Structure section are applicable in addition to the above mentioned.
• Violation of these rules may lead to immediate disqualification

Before the event, a workshop will be organised for the participants where they can learn how to make business model & clear their doubts regarding the event or the presentation.

LEVEL OF COMPETITION:-

1ST LEVEL – Scrutiny Round

• Inviting business proposals from the participants.
• For submission of the business proposal an email id will be provided.

2ND LEVEL – Presentation

• The selected participants have to present their business plan.

• It is an INDIVIDUAL fashion show. Pairs will be formed after auditions. Audition will be taken in the allotted date and time.
• There will be no change in the sequence of the program
• Judgment sheet will be displayed publicly
• Auditions will be judged on the basis of walk, personality traits and introduction
• On the spot props will be provided to the participants for the ramp
• Theme for the semi finals will be RETRO
• Theme for the finals will be ETHNIC.
• Any type of vulgarity will not be tolerated and will lead to immediate disqualification
• No specific dress code for the auditions. But participants must be presentable
• Decency in clothes should be strictly followed
• ** rest all details for the finals and semi final will be given on the day of audition for the selected students

• The final judging will be on the basis of team work, synchronization, costumes, walk, interpretation of the theme, make up, attitude and presentation

Rules comman for all rounds

• Time – 45minutes.
• Pure veg cooking.
• You can use eggs.
• Baking is not be allowed.
• No prepared/ready to cook will be allowed.
• You can participate as individual or in pair
• There will be three judges.
• Crockeries and utensils will not be provided by us.

Scrutiny Round:

• Participants have to send their recipes with the picture of same.
• Only First 30 entries will be considered
• Recipe should be such that you can make it within 45 minutes.
• Faculty panel will shortlist recipes and on the basis of that selected participants will go to the first round

First Round:

• All the selected participants have to make same recipe which they have sended for scrutiny round, with same plating
• Participants have to bring their ingredients for the first round
• Cookware will be provided by us

Second Round:

• In this selected participants have to make a dish whose main ingredients will be told to them.
• Ingredients will be provided by us in this round
• This will be a last and final round

• Utensils (cooker, pan, serving spoons, plates etc.).

About the event -

There are two levels for the participants :-

1st level - SCREENING ROUND

• The participants will have to show the demo of their work along with their Dj name.
• The Time Limit for 1st round i.e Screening round is 5 minutes.

2nd level - PERFORMANCE ROUND

• Selected participants from the first round will have to perform in front of the audience . And Genre of the songs will be provided to participants by the coordinators few hours before the event.
• Time limit for 2nd round i.e Performance round is 7 mins - 10 minutes.
• This time we have kept one *workshop for those interested participants/students who don't have any idea, they can attend this workshop for the better learnings .Dates will be out in some time.
• We Want maximum participantion from your side .
• As this event is related to your passion

• If our team finds out that your track is copied from somewhere then you will be disqualified from the event directly.

• Dj name should be based on the participant's name. And your Dj name should be mentioned in your track which you will show to us in all the rounds.

• So dj name will be - dj rocky
• And it should be in your track.

About the event -

Rangoli is an art, and it takes time and practice to become an expert in any art. And if you want to participate in Rangoli competitions, we have some unique Rangoli designs for you to choose from. Designs for Rangolis vary with festive type and occasion and you can choose for your competition accordingly.

RULES AND REGULATIONS -

• Rangoli art should be of 3ft × 3ft.
• Maximum time to complete the Rangoli is 2 hrs.
• The participants will not be allowed to refer to any printed material etc. for preparing Rangoli.
• A group may have not more than 5 participants.
• Any act of indiscipline by participants calls for cancellation of registration.
