It is a parliament style debate competition between two teams, viz. Government Team & Opposition Team. The topics for this event will be based on Political, Environmental, Economic and Social issues. Each team will consist of 4 or 5 members on each side which can comprise of students across all branches and semesters. Students will form teams at their own discretion and there MUST be a TEAM LEADER in each team. A professional debate will be held where one team will speak FOR the topic and the other team will speak AGAINST the topic.

Preliminary Round
The topics for Preliminary Round will be distributed on a random basis on 16th Feb 2020. The participants will NOT be told whether to speak FOR or AGAINST the topic. The teams will have to gather information, facts and figures from BOTH point of views, ie, FOR as well as AGAINST. On 18th Feb 2020, one hour
before the commencement of the event, each team will be told whether they will have to speak FOR the topic or AGAINST the topic. The debate sequence will be as follows:

The qualifying teams will move to the Final Round
Final Round
The topics for Final Round will be distributed on a random basis to the qualifying teams on 19th Feb 2020 after the completion of the Preliminary Round. The debate sequence will be as follows:

Government Rebuttal 1min
After the completion of this, 3 teams will be awarded 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes based on judgement.
RULES
Courtesy must be shown to all other participating members at all times. There should be no use of foul language, personal enmity or physical contact against each other. There should decency in the behaviour of each and every participating member and must ensure that professionalism is maintained at all times.
The debate will be taken charge by a Speaker who will moderate the debate.
Each team must comprise of 4-5 members and must have a leader: Prime Minister for the Government team and Leader of Opposition for the Opposition team.
All remarks must be addressed to the Speaker of the House and not to anyone else. The Members must address Mr. Speaker in his/her first sentence.
The Government team (the side in favour) shall sit on the right hand side of the Speaker. The Opposition (the side against) shall sit on the left.
The speaking order will be as follows: the Prime Minister, followed by the first Opposition Member then the discussion. Finally the Prime Minister will deliver the Government rebuttal.
During the rebuttal, Members (debaters) may not bring up any new arguments or new evidence except in direct rejection of material which has already been presented.
Members will speak only when called upon by the Speaker. There is to be no heckling. There will be no Points of Order or Points of Personal Privilege raised.
Points of Information are raised while another Member has the floor (i.e. is speaking).
If the speaker refuses the point, the Member raising the Point of Information (POI) must sit down. Otherwise, they should deliver their point as succinctly as possible (in less than 15 seconds). Often, the point is phrased as a question. All speakers should attempt to both deliver at least one POI and to accept one POI during the course of the debate.
The first and last minute of each constructive speech is considered protected time during which no POIs can be made. In addition, no POIs may be made during the Prime Minister’s final rebuttal or during the last three minutes of the Leader of the Opposition’s speech (also considered rebuttal time).

Hence the quiz promises an edge of one's seats experience, for those with quick thinking and reasoning apart from extensive encyclopedic memory.
The teams will have to keep in mind the time limit while fulfilling the minimum criteria at each stage to pass to the next round.
Rules & Regulations
Only team entries are eligible.
There will be 3 rounds.
A team consist of two persons.
Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration.
The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments.
The questions shall be in the form of multiple choice, True / False statement, Specific-answer question etc.
The question will be from various fields i.e. general aptitude, general knowledge(science & technology,current issues relating to politics, economy and sports).
Audience shall not give any hints or clues to the competitors.
The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
ELIMINATION ROUNDS(1st & 2nd round)
Each team would be given a set of online quiz containing multiple choice questions.
Time limit - 30-45 minutes.
Only 6 Teams would be selected for STAGE ROUNDS.
In case of tie between 2 or more teams, further 5 questions would be asked for final selection.
FINAL ROUND
Round 1 : Fill Your Pocket
A question will be asked to a team and if they are unable to answer it will be passed to the next team.
10 marks for correct answer and 5 negative marks for wrong answer.
If a team cannot answer the question, they can pass the question & then the question would be forwarded to the next team.
Answering time is only 30 seconds.

Round 2 : Rapid Fire
Each team will be asked 10 questions one after another in one minutes time

Robo-Race
Construct Your Machine to have the maximum speed to beat other machines on the given track to reach the final destination in minimum time. You have to build a manually controlled robot capable of traversing over different terrain and hurdles. There will be separate points for overcoming the obstacles as well as the other parameter being within time. Thus, the bot with the most cumulative points will win. The aim of the event is to check the robustness of the vehicle and its competence with the opponent on the same track.
Task
Design and construct a remote controlled (wired/wireless) robot capable not only running fast but also is capable of fighting hurdles on the track in the least time.
Bot Specifications
Only wheels are allowed for locomotion, conveyer belts may be used.
The weight of the bot should not be more than 5kgs (excluding power source).
The bot should fit in a box dimensions 30*25*15 cm.
At all times, bot’s behaviour should be non-offensive, non-destructive and non-harmful to humans and track.
Bots are not allowed to fly or jump.
Internal combustion engine cannot be used.
Also, bot must not emit smoke or fire, leak, stain or soil, spray, throw or use projectiles.
Use of IC engines or compression is not allowed. All vehicles must depend only on electric motors for their propulsion and control.
The person who have made the robot should be able to explain the circuit and the program uploaded (if any).
Track Specifications
The track will be 30-35 cm wide.
The track will be having many zones.

No human intervention is allowed in between the race.
The track will contain certain number of check-points and if the bot goes out of the track then it has to start with the previous check-point.
There will be certain number of hurdles and obstacles. Each obstacle and hurdle will be assigned some specific points and have to be completed in a stipulated time limit.
Point description will be disclosed on the spot before commencement of event.
This will be a two round of competition and entry to the final round will be solely based on total cumulative points of previous round.
One should not use the wires for lifting up or moving the bot.
Points earned will be calculated within the time limit and free time of 3 min will be provided Only once if any technical problem occurs.
In case of any discrepancies organizer’s decision will be final and binding.
The organizers reserve the right to change any or all of the rules as they desire. Change in the rules as if any will be informed through e-mail or via Facebook page.
Any team found flouting any rules would be automatically disqualified.
Team Specification for Both Robo Race
Any team can participate in Robo Race. A team may consist of maximum 4 members. These participants can be from same or different institutes.
Team Representative: Each team must specify their Team Representative (Leader)at the time of registration
All-important communications between organizers and the registered teams will be done through Team Representative.
Each student must have a valid Id-Card of their college.
Teams start their vehicles at starting line, on a signal given by the event coordinators. The timing will begin as soon as the signal is given.
Your vehicle should always remain inside the track. If your vehicle leaves the track, at any point of time, it gets penalized.
The coordinators hold the direction to restart a race/war, in case of a valid reason to do so.

There are three levels for the participants: -

Each team will be given clues which can be a puzzle ,a particular location of the campus or some very simple and relevant tasks that you have to complete to get the clue .Using those clues you have to move further in the Hunt by searching for more clues by using the previous ones. The college venue layout will be explained to all participants prior to the event. So you can manage to solve all those clues and become the winner. The teams selected for the final round are required to fabricated a working model as per the given problem statement and materials. There will be a competition between these teams by which winners will be decided.
EVENT RULES AND REGULATIONS:
Participation should be in team, each team consisting of exactly 5 members.
To participate in this event, teams must register for the event on Google form circulated for this event. No onsite team formation will take place.
Construction equipment and materials will be given on site
Problem statement or theme will be given on site.
For elimination, teams have to appear for test as single entity.
No change is team members will be allowed during event.
The teams have to complete the prescribed task in the given time, using only the materials provided.
Junkyard reserves the right to eliminate the participants in case of any misconduct.
In case of any discrepancies, decision of the judges shall be considered final and binding for all.
